Guiding Principles

Build on ISU’s culture of collaboration by empowering both planned and spontaneous interaction between students, faculty, and external partners with diverse backgrounds and experiences

Balance the amount of fixed and flexible spaces for curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities to accommodate a wide range of users

Design functional, flexible, resilient, and adaptable spaces for collaboration and innovation that will respond to changes in technology, population, and pedagogy with deliberate attention to environmental impact
